What: Chelwood Foodbank Plus is open to provide emergency food parcels and support to individuals and families in crisis. Located at Chelwood Community Hub, 2D Castle Street, the foodbank is open every Wednesday from 10.am to 12:00 am.
Who is it for?
Anyone in the local community experiencing hardship and struggling to afford food can access the foodbank. Referrals can be made through various agencies, including Citizens Advice Bureau, Stockport Homes, MIND, and Social Services.
- Emergency food relief: Receive a nutritionally balanced food parcel to help tide you over during difficult times.
- Support and advice: Friendly volunteers offer a listening ear and can provide information about other local support services.
- Essential household items: In addition to food, the foodbank may also be able to assist with essential household items like kitchen equipment and bedding (subject to availability).
- Community support: Chelwood Foodbank Plus relies on the generosity of the local community. By visiting the foodbank, you are helping to support a vital local resource.
How to access the foodbank:
To access the foodbank, you will need a referral from a supporting agency. If you are in need of emergency food support, please contact one of the following organisations:
